Graceling

June 20, 2014

Sometimes you just have to read a book cover to cover without stopping. Graceling by Kristin Cashore is one of those books. The only problem I have with this book is that it’s the first book in a serie, and I haven’t got the next one…

The main characther, Katsa, is a fierce girl. A girl that most people are afraid of because she has a grace, the grace of killing. So yes, in some ways I get that people are scared of her. Her best friend (not that she has a lot), Raffin, is a bit different, he isn’t scared of her. His father is the one who tells Katsa who she is to hurt so he can get his way. Even though she doesn’t like it, she goes along with it, because she don’t have anywhere else to go.

At least that is what she thinks until she meets someone that makes her think about things a little differently. So differently in fact that she has to run away. In the world she lives in there are friends and foes everywhere. Who to trust?

As with life in general, things don’t always turn out the way one would think. But just because they don’t end up the way we think they should, don’t make them bad lifes, just different 🙂

“Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”
