Even though I loved The maze runner, the second book in the trilogy, The scorch trials by James Dashner, was a little harder to get through. It might be because I’m currently reading several books at once (I do that sometimes when I don’t instantly fall in love with a book), or it could be that it’s summer and really warm outside, so warm in fact that I don’t funtion properly.
The book start off when the gladers have been rescued from the maze, but things go bad really fast. Those who survived the maze, get another trial. Yet again Thomas and the other gladers have to fight for their lives.
Some of the book was slow, other parts were fast paced. It wasn’t a too hard read, but it still went slow for me. I can’t explain it, but there were something about the book that made me not stop reading it. Maybe because I wanted to find out what would happen to Thomas and his fellow gladers. It might have been the biggest question for me; what is the flare? how did it come about? why haven’t a cure been given to everyone if they have one? how does it spread? what is WICKED? and are they really good or bad???
