Starring: Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence
In Depression-era North-Carolina, the future of George Pemberton’s timber empire becomes complicated when he marries Serena.
Cooper and Lawrence in the same movie again? Oh, well, I guess I can live with that. This movie is set in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s, and I do like that era (except all the smoking). Mr. Pemberton is having some issues with money both before and after he marries Serena. She has her own way of dealing with things.
What can I say about the movie, well, it wasn’t the most interesting movie I’ve seen, but the story did have a nice flow to it. Parts of the movie was a bit slow, but then other parts we didn’t even get to see. For instans when does Serena train the eagle? That could have been interesting to see. I don’t really have any strong feeling about this movie either way, hence the very short post. I’m not saying I want my two hours back, because I did enjoy the movie, and it did put a smile om my face several times. It was kind of a nice and relaxing movie.
I did love all the scenic fotoage, the movie was shot in such a beautiful place. If you want a lot of action, skip this movie; if you want a lot of drama, this might be for you. If you want a movie with beautiful landscape, this movie might work for you 🙂
